 PBIS is a process  for creating safer, more effective schools. The goal is to create a positive school culture by identifying, adapting, and sustaining effective school-wide disciplinary practices.  

The Worcester East Middle School the Positive Behavior Intervention and Support Program is designed to help create a climate of academic excellence, respect and safety for all students.

PBIS is a research-based combination of practices that creates a positive school climate in which students can achieve behavioral and academic success.  



 Students learn appropriate behaviors through daily instruction, quarterly assemblies, practice, feedback and encouragement.
