Worcester Public Schools students published in It’s Lit! were honored on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at the Durkin Administration Building. It's Lit! is an annual celebration of student writing and all students in preschool through Grade 12 were encouraged to submit original, not previously published creative works such as poems, memoirs, and short stories.
At the Worcester Regional Science Fair, Worcester East Middle student Elvin Kadi earned one of the 13 First Place – Broadcom Master Medals. Elvin was the only public Worcester middle school student to earn a First Place Medal. Other WPS middle school students earned Second Place Medals. As a result, Elvin has earned a spot to compete at the Massachusetts State Science and Engineering Fair on June 4th.
Nine Worcester East Middle School students are participating in an exhibition called “Various Artists Various Media 2016” at the Sprinkler Factory. These students worked on a large four panel design using graphite and graphite wash. Their art will be on display until Sunday, June 5th.
